Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 fighter, destroyed Western armor and improved their position on the front, reports Defense in its daily special operation update for February 3, 2025.
Key points from the Russian Defense report:
Group North attacked two Ukrainian brigades. The enemy lost 35 soldiers and three artillery pieces.
Group West improved its tactical position, attacking eight enemy brigades. The Kiev army lost 300 men, an American M113 armored personnel carrier and five artillery pieces, two of them Western-made.
Group South occupied more advantageous positions. It hit seven enemy brigades. Ukrainian forces lost 220 soldiers. Two ammunition depots were also destroyed.
Group Centre continued its offensive operations. It attacked ten Ukrainian brigades. The enemy lost 520 combatants, as well as a Swedish Viking armored personnel carrier.
Group East continued to advance deep into the enemy defenses. It attacked six Ukrainian brigades. The Kiev army lost 150 soldiers and four artillery pieces, including a French Caesar self-propelled gun.
The Dnieper group attacked five enemy brigades. Ukrainian losses amounted to 70 soldiers and two artillery pieces. An ammunition depot was destroyed.

Russian air defense shot down four French Hammer guided aerial bombs, seven US HIMARS rockets and 199 UAVs, 124 of them outside the zone of the special military operation.
